Subh Milis
There was jam on the door handle
But I suppressed the anger that rose up in me,
Because I thought of the day
That the door handle would be clean
And the little hand would be gone.

I love working on commercial lifestyle projects where the art created is done so with meaning and a love for what they do. Milis Print is one such Etsy business where the focus in on family and the everyday objects we interact with in our home lives.
Objects that make us remember and nostalgic for our own childhoods or grateful for the family life we share with those we love.
Cyril Desmond, the amazing artist behind Milis print has a real talent for bringing to life everyday objects that we hold dear – toys, pets, musical instruments or other specially commissioned pieces.
Cleverly through Cyril’s pen he digitally brings these all to life with vibrant backgrounds that are family friendly and can be changed to meet you own home’s colour scheme.
You can check out Milis Print’s Etsy shop here and below is a selection from their current range of prints.
It was such great fun to be part of this project! And for those wondering about the name Milis Print – Milis is the Irish word for “sweet” with inspiration coming from the Séamus Ó Néill oem Subh Milis (see above)
