I had been looking forward to this day for a while, from the moment I met Ciara and Justin and heard about their day. Each phone call and email with Ciara was such a delight and we connected straight away.
Having celebrated our own wedding only a few weeks before Ciara and Justin, being a bride planning our wedding along with my other brides this Autumn has been such a treat, a connection and a deeper understanding of what it is like to get married. Mount Juliet holds such wonderful memories for Ted and I as we spent a lovely year living on the estate, so I am always excited to go back and photograph there.
I must say, Ciara’s style blew me away! From her Kathy De Stafford dress and Jimmy Choo shoes to her sophisticated look created by Glamour by Dawn and the Confession box team. But what I really loved was seeing Ciara and Justin together, so made for each other and so in love! I love their story, having been neighbours for years and not knowing each other – fate played a hand and they met one snowy night when their families gathered at Justin’s house. One of my favourite sayings is “what is meant for your will not pass you by”. Something conspired that night for Ciara and Justin to meet and the rest they say is history!
Ciara and Justin were so natural together and it shows in their photographs. The weather had taken a slight turn for the worse but in the end the foggy day was the biggest blessing and created the most magical backdrop for our stroll around the Mount Juliet gardens. My new favourite wedding weather!
The rest of the day was spent in the cosy comfort of the old house and then on to Kendels restuarant for the night time celebrations!
