One of my favorite parts of any wedding day is at the brides house on the morning of the wedding day as the house is full of anticipation of the excitement that is to come. Like all girls, I love seeing the bride in hair and make-up and capturing all the details of her look as it comes together. Families are always so welcoming and it is a pleasure to share in this very special part of the day. I usually begin by photographing the dress, shoes, flowers, perfume and the little gifts that a groom might leave for his bride such as jewelry, a poem or a bouquet of flowers (yes grooms, guys do do this so get thinking and be romantic!!).
A great tip is to leave all of these things to one side in a tidy room and I can work away, creating the images that will tell the story of the day. So that when you look back on your photographs from the day you can appreciate all the hard work that went into making your wedding day so special to you. As your wedding photographer, I love capturing those little details that create such a beautiful story of your wedding day, what girl wouldn’t!
