Lyrath Estate weddings and winter time go beautifully together. There is such a beautiful old world charm in the old house yet the high vaulted ceilings in the modern extension let in so much beautiful light that you would almost forget that it was winter outside.
Something for everyone! But this special wedding below was all about Bevin and Gary who were married in Piltown last January.
I love weddings where I have a close connection with the families involved. Bevin’s sister Orla is one of my closest friends and I was lucky enough to photograph her wedding also back in 2012 at the lovely Mount Juliet Estate. So it is always so lovely when you go back to the house of a family that you feel that you know well, it is such a lovely start to the day.
And Bevin had such a lovely relaxed morning getting ready. All the girls were upbeat and enjoyed a bit of pampering whilst the boys did all of the running around and why not!
Bevin’s beautiful gown in gold and ivory, complemented her beautifully and set the tone for the amazing day to come. Given the time of year we decided to spend time at the church for photographs and made the most of the cute little avenue leading to the church. This meant that drive to Lyrath gave Bevin a chance to warm up again! And we made the most of the daylight available in January. I love it when brides are willing to spend a little bit of time outside over the winter months. It really makes such a difference to your photographs, I cannot stress that enough.
Once at the Lyrath it was time to relax and enjoy themselves, giving me the chance to photograph all the beautiful details of Bevin and Gary’s day.
