A destination wedding at Mount Juliet Estate
Tara and Will came all the way from Massachusetts to say their “I do’s”. And in front of all their nearest at dearest at Mount Juliet Estate in Kilkenny, they had the most amazing day. Moreover, a destination wedding in Ireland was the dream, given Tara’s Irish heritage. As a result of her family ties to Kilkenny it made Mount Juliet the perfect destination wedding venue for them.
Mount Juliet Estate as a Wedding Venue
Nestled in the Kilkenny countryside, Mount Juliet Estate is an effortlessly elegant wedding venue. it offers a perfect balance of grandeur and romance. Whilst its sweeping parkland, historic manor house and beautifully manicured gardens, provide a stunning backdrop in every season. The timeless interiors and endless scenic portrait locations make Mount Juliet a dream setting for couples. It is definitely the place for a refined yet relaxed wedding day.
In turn, Tara and Will’s wedding day unfolded with a quiet elegance. It was defined by a delicate pastel palette with thoughtfully curated details. I an addition, it was all teamed with soft florals of gentle tones, which Tara planned the day to perfection. The morning was refined and relaxed. An filled with meaningful moments. All of these were framed by one of Ireland’s most iconic country house venues. And let us give a moment for that bow as well!!!
Tara’s Elegant Bridal Look
Tara opted for a Jesus Peiro gown paired with beautiful La Grotta Collective jewellery. She decided to create her own makeup look, and also Niamh from I Do Bridal Hair elegantly styled Tara’s hair into a bun. Moreover, the gorgeous pastel bouquet created by Lennie from Wallflower, tied the whole look together.
An Indoor Ceremony at Mount Juliet Estate
The ceremony was held in the elegant surrounds of the Lady Helen and conducted beautifully by Alison from Bespoke Words. I love this part of the day. It is when I get a really lovely insight into the lives of my couples. What brought them to this day, what they love most about each other, I am an old romantic at heart!

The grounds at Mount Julliet offer endless, quietly beautiful moments for portraits. Mount Juliet has a rare ability to feel grand without ever being overwhelming and the couples who marry here have this quietly spoken grace that just compliments the setting as well as the way I work as a photographer – a perfect match. We stole away from everyone for a short time and as there was no videography or conten creation team on the day, it really felt like Tara and Will shared some lovely quiet time together during their portraits. And gave them the chance to enjoy each others company, which is so important on your wedding day.

Finally, Tara and Will’s pastel-hued wedding at Mount Juliet Estate was a joy to document. It was a day shaped by thoughtful details, gentle colour and a beautifully relaxed atmosphere.
