Emma and Niall came all the way from the US for their wedding in Ireland at the beautiful Castlemartyr resort. A luxury wedding venue in East Cork (and one of my favourites). Over the years I have photographed so many weddings at Castlemartyr. It is probably the venue I have photographed the most weddings at. And I am very proud to be one of Castlemartyr’s preferred wedding suppliers. And each one is as beautiful as the next!
Emma and Niall chose a summer wedding. And the weather played along, allowing for an outdoor ceremony by the fountain in Castlemartyr’s exquisite gardens. Emma’s blue and white theme for the florals and stationery suite were just perfect for the time of year. They added a delicate palette of colour to the day. Jill Wild as always designed the most stunning floral arrangements, that were just perfect.

Emma and Niall both got ready at Castlemartyr Resort, which makes it such a relaxed morning. Moreover, it leaves plenty of time for me to capture both bride and groom preparations. Emma was looked after by Cathyanne Bridal Hair and Rebecca O’Donovan Makeup and looked just radiant.

Then it was time for their first look. As Emma approached Niall for the very first time, her veil trailing gracefully behind her, the moment was nothing short of breathtaking. And it completely swept Niall off his feet.

We then spent some time exploring the stunning grounds for portraits of Emma and Niall together. From the dramatic castle backdrop to the column-lined terrace adorned with elegant lanterns, always reminiscent of a chic Parisian setting. We were truly spoiled for choice.

Emma chose a different dress for each of her bridesmaids, with soft blues and greens tying the look together beautifully for a cohesive and elegant feel.

We stole away again after dinner for some more dramatic portraits. The sun was setting and lit up magically, just in time for us as dinner finished. So we took full advantage of that beautiful evening light. And again while the music was being set up and Emma had changed into her second dress for the dancing we got some more nigh time photographs. This is an option I always like to offer my couples. It just brings a different element to the portraits and provides a nice chance for a bride and groom to leave everyone behind for a short while. It is so important to have some time that is just for them.
